History

Since 2005 Innova is active in the exploitation of solar energy for the generation of distributed electrical and thermal energy through innovative systems with low or zero environmental impact. The company is based in Chieti (F&A + Operations) and Cosenza (research and development). The company's team includes the Eng. PL Zappacosta (co-founder and former CEO of Logitech) through the FARO Ventures investment holding whose managing director is Dr. G. Farchione and Dr. F. Di Luzio, member of SOMEA S.p.A., a company investing in real estate and building sectors since 1976.
After about 5 years of applied research and following agreements with strategic suppliers, Innova presented TRINUM on the 8th of September 2010. Trinum generates electricity (1kWe) and thermal energy (3 kWt) and is made up a dish of parabolic shape of about 10 m², that tracks the sun and reflects the rays concentrating them on the head of a Stirling engine. Such engine is produced and realized by the dutch Microgen Engine Corporation and adapted by Innova for solar applications and for which Innova has the exclusive. Innova has a shareholding in Microgen.
in 2012 is born TURBOCALDO, the most performing Solar Thermal Tracking System on the market, with the same precision and form of TRINUM.
